Extended family sessions are truly something special — a rare opportunity to bring your whole tribe together and create memories that will last for generations.
These sessions are held during Golden Hour — that magical hour before sunset when the light is soft, golden, and absolutely perfect. ✨ Light is such a vital part of my style, and every image you see on my page was captured during this beautiful time of day.
I know it can sometimes clash with dinner or bedtime routines (especially for little ones), but just for one night of the year, I promise — it’s worth the later bedtime. And if you're feeling unsure, I’ve got plenty of gentle tricks and tips to make it as smooth as possible. Let’s chat!
Getting everyone together is no small task, and I never take that for granted. I approach each session with care, energy, and the intention to create real, joy-filled memories. These sessions are fast-paced, full of laughter and movement — we hit the ground running and make every moment count.
During your session, we’ll capture a variety of groupings, including:
Each individual family unit (with and without grandparents)
Grandparents with all the grandkids
Cousins together
Sibling groups
Individual portraits of the kids
A full extended family group shot
... and lots more in between.
I’ve done this many times and have a relaxed, well-paced flow that helps everyone feel at ease and enjoy the experience.
And …..because these moments are so rare, it’s always lovely to plan a family meal afterward. That way, when your kids look back, they won’t just remember the photos — they’ll remember the warm hugs, the laughter, and the joy of being together.
The perfect gift for grandparents who already have everything — and the most meaningful way to ensure your family story is captured and cherished forever.
